Kai Otika (沖田カイ Okita Kai) is a Japanese Mini 4wd racer from Okami Corps. Firstly introduced as the second elite member of the Ōgami Corps after J, Kai serves as one of the three primary antagonists along with Gen Kondou and Rei Hijikata. After the end of Super Great Japan Cup, Kai travels abroad to Brazil, where he meets with the Savanna Soldiers and become appointed as their coach. His machine is Beak Spider.

Kai appears to be polite and soft-spoken, but is actually egotistic and condescending. His sociopathic tendency causes him to craves enjoyment from destroying competitor's machines, as it proves his superiority. Out of all three pupils under Dr. Ōgami, Kai appears to be the most level-headed yet also most rebellious as he prefers to do things his own ways and is willing to disobey orders from his colleagues and superiors, especially when it comes to his obsession at defeating Ryo Takaba.
As time passes, Kai is able to develop pass his sociopathic tendency, but retain his cool and pragmatic demeaner. After being acquainted with the Savanna Soldiers, he has become significantly friendlier and more compassionate. He eventually rekindle with Ryo and J, becoming a friendly rival with the members of TRF Victorys.
